Now is the time to tell ourselves the truth and to go with in and clear the clutter. Now is the time to make room for connection to self and to others and to be true to who we are beneath all of our external stories. Now is the time to truly live in a deep state of awareness, compassion and self expression. .”

What is your why?

As an artist I see myself as a vessel for creative expression. It is my strong desire to bring this life force energy through me and out into the world. Being a person who creates is how I channel this energy. The clearer I get, the more fluid the expression, and this is my why. My why is to express myself fully while in this life. My quest is to expand and grow and allow. Art is my vehicle, but the allowing of the flow of this life force energy is my why.

When did you first sense your power and how has That carried through your life?

I was first fully aware of every aspect of my power when I gave birth to my first child, naturally. She weighed 11 pounds at birth. I feel like childbirth was a turn ing point for me. It was something that seemed impossible, but wasn’t. It is a miracle. I was able to see through a true real life experience how powerful I truly am. I often feel that if I could do that, I could do anything. Being a mother in general has opened my heart tremendously, and I think that is where the most authentic power lies.

What do you know for sure?

I know for sure that I am a lifelong student. I know that being humble and open with eyes like a child allows me to live life with enthusiasm and curiosity. Curiosity is a path to expansion I believe. I find joy because of this knowing and I am grateful.

Now is the time for…

Self inquiry and growth. Now is the time to tell ourselves the truth and to go with in and clear the clutter. Now is the time to make room for connection to self and to others and to be true to who we are beneath all of our external stories. Now is the time to truly live in a deep state of awareness, compassion and self expression.

Where do you find hope at this time in history?

I feel hopeful because when I see my children and today’s youth, I see human beings who are open and expansive. I see a world that is shifting and changing. Awareness is growing and truth is being told. People are waking up. Although there will be so me who will choose to stay asleep, I believe that change is happening. I feel hopeful because we are here to grow. There is so much beauty in the world, so much that we connect to and through. I am so deeply inspired by so many who have used and continue to use their voices to enlighten. I find hope in my fellow resilient human beings.

Who is one person that has inspired you, mentored you that may not know their impact on you?

Well, Joni Mitchell has deeply inspired me. I do not know her, but I would love to. Her unapologetic vulnerability, honestly, authenticity and artistry have impacted m e deeply. When I listen to Joni’s music, I see the emotions in full color. It is an experience for me. The music becomes people’s own and it lives in their hearts and minds. Joni to me is an artist who is tapped in to her true voice. I aspire to open to that level of fluidity
